New Directory for Telecom Channel Sales & Distribution

We just launched the Telecom Directory , a website aiming to help promote companies in the telecom sales distribution channel. The new website, is a single comprehensive source for companies and persons providing telecom related services. The directory is now accepting requests for free, standard and featured listings to telecom channel related persons and companies. The website was built using the new Google Sites, and features a security certificate, fully responsive design, and a full site search. New NC Business Directory Launched

  Shop local NC, save jobs, feel good. The NCBizList.com mission is to help support locally run companies throughout North Carolina. They recognize that small businesses are the lifeblood of the NC economy. Keeping money in nearby neighborhoods by shopping locally will help ensure a thriving community. The site is now accepting requests for free listings as well as featured listings.  All companies must be verifiably located in North Carolina. NCBizList was built using Google's updated WYSIWYG website design tool "new Google Sites". The directory features a security certificate, fully responsive design, and an internal site search. New Google Sites - Fast, Easy, & Responsive

The New Google Sites is great for quickly building mobile friendly (responsive) websites.  I have migrated three sites in the past few weeks.  The drag and drop GUI makes it super easy to get a website up and running.  Here are a few examples below. I have done quite a few website redesigns over the past decade or so.  When taking on a new project, I suggest to customers that they utilize a content management system (CMS).  The ease of updating content (versus traditional code editing) is a huge winner for clients. My favorite web CMS platforms are WordPress, Google Sites and DNN.  See the benefits of each here . The Project: This project was for a local home builder looking to modernize and expand their online presence. Out With the Old: The old site was something I designed a while back using MS Expression Web (html 4, CSS and JavaScript).  It was functional, but not very easy to update. BEFORE REDESIGN - HTML4 Website before being redesigned. In With the New: For the new website I opted for Google Sites (, with embedded Google Drive documents, Picasa Web albums and YouTube videos. Parallax Scrolling Website Using DNN 7

Relax It's Parallax Here's an example of a parallax scrolling single page website built using DNN 7.4.  Parallax scrolling involves a background image moving at a slower rate than foreground content.  This creates a layered effect as you scroll down the page, providing a subtle element of depth.
